Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan-Claire Mayfield. This is day two hundred and forty-five of that project.

This quilt block shows a yellow square building with a trapezoid roof. The roof and the door are a dark green-blue. Granby Veterinary Clinic is where I have taken all my dogs, sheep, hogs, cats, calves, and guinea pigs.

Dr. Sue is the presiding vet now, but for many years Dr. Larry Peterson was there to take care of whatever animal problem I had. He did everything.

He mercifully and sympathetically ended the lives of several beloved four-legged friends. He also came to the farm to help with various oddball things my livestock got into.

He put a plate in my first border collie’s leg when she was overzealous and got kicked by a cow.

He even helped me back up a stock trailer out front of the clinic so I could take a ram home.

He and his wife, Susie, are good friends of mine, and I’m always happy to see them in town.

Below the dark blue roof is a triangle window, in the same shape as the peak of the roof. Below the pink yellow window on the light blue building is a sign. The lettering is bold and has a gradient from bottom to top from yellow to even lighter blue. It says, "FAT CAT CAFE." Below that are two yellow windows, the left one having a red open sign. Finally on the ground level is a large window with a very stylish cat in a very stylish pose like out of a cartoon. It's striped and black and white. To the left of the cat logo window is a dark blue door the same shade as the roof. Both the door and the roof have yellow/gold stitching outlining them.Block-a-Day 289 – Fat Cat Café This quilt block is another corner block. This means there is a piece of green fabric signifying grass that stretches from the lower left corner to the upper right corner. It has a strong yellow stitching on it's edge. Sitting on the grass is a brightly colored house. It has a red triangular roof, a blue body, and a yellow window. There's also a red door with a large keyhole drawn in using pen.Block-A-Day 365 – The Gatehouse
