Tina's Fabric Nook
Tina Holley is a talented, vivacious, and well-loved woman in the community. She is a widow, mother, and grandmother. She is a 3rd generation ranching wife whose family roots in Grand County date back to the 1940s. She has four adult sons and six precious grandchildren. Tina wears many hats. She added another โhatโ when she purchased the Fabric Nook from her kindergarten teacher in 2015.
Tina has been sewing for over 45 years. She is a self-taught expert at everything she chooses to do. She began her creative journey as a garment maker in middle school by designing and creating her own clothes. Later on, she took apart clothes from thrift stores and put them back together in order to improve her construction and alteration skills. She also worked part-time at the Fabric Nook, learning the business side of the industry. Tina had many private clients seeking her out to alter their wedding dresses and design consultation. In addition to her sewing expertise, she also knits, crochets, and is an award-winning quilter.
As a visionary and an artist with an eye for color and design, Tina is passionate about guiding customers in achieving their personal and creative goals. She has a nurturing and entertaining personality, which makes her an excellent teacher, able to assist others in the creative process of constructing a quilted heirloom or project. Her goal is to empower and help make everyoneโs idea a beautiful reality they can feel great about.

Sew A Season
"You Melt My Heart" - 2024 Row By Row is here!
Purchase on Etsy

This year's theme is Sew A Season. I chose Winter for my season. Our design features a father-son snowpeople "moment" titled "You Melt My Heart." It reminds me of the way my husband looked at our boys when they were little. Now, my sons look at their sons and daughter the same way. This is the easiest design I've ever made, and of course, it's pre-cut.

For 2025 we have a new block-of-the-month [BOM]: 40 Shades of Grey!
We’ve chosen the selection for 2025, and we are SUPER EXCITED!

The pattern for the new BOM is called 40 Shades of Grey by Wendy Williams. This is a 10-month BOM. To the left is the design package.

To the right you'll see a picture of the pattern and fabrics we plan to use. The blocks are the first 2 month's blocks. The quilt has a variety of skills and techniques. The cost will be $35 / month. Like last year, we will need the first and last month's fees to hold your spot, and if you choose to pay all at once, you get 1 month free!

June 2025
Happy May Day!
This morning, when I went outside, I smelled Lilacs. That says spring to me. This time of year in the Rockies always reminds me of the seemingly frantic behavior of insects. They remind me that everybody is trying to squeeze the most out of this wonderful, fleeting time of year. So let's take a moment to appreciate the sunshine and the beauty of spring, for it's here today and gone tomorrow!

The following class will be held at St. John's Episcopal, 4th and Garnet

In this class, we'll transform a humble tray into a clever, portable ironing board—perfect next to your machine or packed along to class. Dorothy would call it practical, Blanche would say it's charming, Rose would tell a story about how they used tree stumps in Minnesota, and Sophia? She'd just want you to sign up before we run out of trays. We have a limited number of trays available, so don't miss out. Class fee: $25 if you bring your own tray, $30 if we provide one. Sign-up is a must, honey.

The Fabric Nook is located in the historic town of Granby, Colorado, in one of its original buildings, dating back to the early 1900s.
Over the years, this location has been used as a pool hall, dress shop, music store, furniture store, and fabric shop. In the 1940s, during its pool hall days, the tiny back storage room was a shower room.
The pool hall owner sold showers to the men living in nearby camps who were building the Granby Dam. Today, the building still has its original pine floor and high ceilings, which gives the store a welcoming open feeling.
Our Fabric
We carry over 2,000 bolts of the latest fabrics and more than 200 batiks, with new fabrics arriving almost weekly! The Fabric Nook has a fine selection of western fabrics and high-quality flannels for sewing, quilting, and crafting.- Moda
