Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan-Claire Mayfield. This is day two hundred and forty-nine of that project.

This quilt block shows a table with an umbrella over it and two chairs. The umbrella is coming out of the center of the table. The umbrella itself is a bright yellow and blue in sections. This is named after a café across the street from my shop.

It has tables with umbrellas on the sidewalk. Originally the building it is in was a small department store called The Villager.

Other businesses have been there, including the Fabric Nook when the previous owner had it.

It’s set up really cutely with group settings, booths, and books. I particularly enjoy the art they have on the walls.

They make good BLTs, and I sometimes get the opportunity to meet a friend there for lunch.

Above the roof is a sign with lights around it (indicated by marks of pen) that says, "Motel" The roof is in a trapezoid shape and is a deep brown fabric. Underneath the roof on the yellow building are the words, "Notell Motel". Above the door it reads, "Office" and above the light tan window it reads, "No Vacancy". Each piece of fabric, including the tan window, is outlined by a duotone black and light tan stitching.Block-A-Day 262 – The Notell Motel This quilt block shows a large just about square building. The main building material is a single large duotone polka dotted fabric (the dots being scattered and random). There are many smaller square windows outlined with an orange fabric, while inside they are a solid brown. They're each outlined by stitching. There is a light fixture above the middle door drawn in pen. The door is in the middle and is also outlined in an orange fabric. There are two signs, each detailed and colorful. On the left is a blue, black, and white sign with mountains on it and thew words, Block-A-Day 282 – New-2-U And Never Summer Brewing
