Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan-Claire Mayfield. This is day two hundred and forty-four of that project.

My friend, Dana, owns the Scandinavian Inn Bed and Breakfast in Stromsburg, Nebraska.

I love to go there and stay with her. It’s beautiful there, and the B&B is so lovely. Each room has a different theme and is so comfortable.

I must admit that the big lure for me is spending time with my friend, and that’s why my destination is Stromsburg. Dana and her husband did an outstanding renovation of the building, which used to be the hospital when Bob, Dana’s husband, was young.

In fact, Bob was born in what is now the dining room. Dana gets up super early and makes wonderful muffins and other breakfast specialties.

When I am there, I usually wander in late and hope to snare some coffee and leftovers. By the time I rise, she is ready for a little mid-morning pick-me-up nap.

Such is the way of an early riser and a night owl.

We lived together for a year in our teens, and even then, it was so.

This is against a salmon-patterned blue background.Block-A-Day 331 – The Little Barn This quilt block shows a square building with a sign on it and a wooden stairway up to a door. The building is white with black outlines showing the door and the windows. Inside the big window that's divided into three panes, there are the signs for UPS and FedEx penned in. The wooden staircase is brown and penned in to go up to the door. Above everything, hanging off the flat roof is a red sign. There's a black K backwards on top of a white K, and the words next to it are Block-A-Day 278 – Kopy Kat Office
