Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan-Claire Mayfield. This is day two hundred and forty-four of that project.

This quilt block shows a skinny tall white building with dark brown trimming. The roof is triangular with trimming underneath it. There is a yellow rounded window above the door with a window sill that is dark brown. Below that are the words, "Scandinavian Inn" and below that, a dark brown door. On the side fo the white building near the roof are two boards jutting out and holding up a sign. The sign has fancy scripted B's on it indicating it is a Bed and Breakfast.

My friend, Dana, owns the Scandinavian Inn Bed and Breakfast in Stromsburg, NE.

I love to go there and stay with her. It’s beautiful there and the B&B is so nice. Each room has a different theme and is so comfortable.

I must admit that the big lure for me is spending time with my friend and that’s why my destination is Stromsburg. Dana and her husband did a wonderful renovation of the building which used to be the hospital when Bob, Dana’s husband, was young.

In fact Bob was born in what is now the dining room. Dana gets up super early and makes wonderful muffins and other breakfast specialties.

When I am there I usually wander in late and hope to snare some coffee and leftovers. By the time I rise she is ready for a little mid morning pick me up nap.

Such is the way of an early riser and a night owl.

We lived together for a year in our teens and even then it was so.
