Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan-Claire Mayfield. This is day two hundred and forty-six of that project.

This quilt block shows a lime-yellow building with a bright yellow roof. The roof has a bottom trim like a candy wrapping, with rounded pieces. On the yellow roof is a giant pink twisted candy package, and below that on the front of the roof is black and white sign that has mountains on it and the words, "Taste Of The Rockies". On the front of the building below the roof is written, "Hot Sulphur Springs Candy Co." There is a small rounded red door in the center of the building, and on either side a light blue window with gray stitching around it. This is all against a blue-salmon patterned background.

OOOH! A Candy store!

We are fortunate to have a unique candy store in the next town to the east.

It’s unique because they have every candy you ever knew as a child or your parents knew as children. Companies still manufacture those candies that have since left the spotlight.

All the old favorites, fresh and ready to go home for a nostalgic moment with you.

When was the last time you saw a Cherry Mash, a Zero bar or a Mars bar? Or how about those little root beer candies that look like little barrels?

Walking into the Hot Sulphur Candy Company is a walk down memory lane.
