Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day one hundred and three of that project.

This quilt block shows a patch of smooth grass along the bottom with a deep green fabric, and then trees that look like light green blocks coming up from it. There are three trees with very short orange-brown trunks ranging from short to pretty tall. This is all against a gray salmon or fish like background fabric. There is vertical white stitching in the trees.

It’s important to have trees in a park, and this one has a lot of them. This little grove looks like it would be excellent to play hide and seek in.

My granddaughter loves to play Hide And Seek. This is an exchange that took place last week.

Dad came upon her hiding and trying not to giggle:

Dad: What are you doing, Little Girl?

Daughter: Playing Hide and Seek. I’m hiding, but I didn’t tell him [little brother].

Dad: So he doesn’t know you’re hiding?

Daughter: Nope!

Dad: So you’re not playing hide and seek. You’re only playing hide.

Daughter: Yep!

I hope that made you laugh. It sure did me.
