Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan-Claire Mayfield. This is day two hundred and eighty-eight of that project.

This quilt block shows a tall building with a large skylight. The roof is a large orange trapezoid. On the center of the roof is a yellow piece of fabric that is also in the same shape as the roof. There are threads that separate the panes of glass in the skylight. Below the large roof Is a dark yellow/gold main body. On that main body is large writing with a white outline that reads, "That Town & Country Insurance, Co" Below that is a bullet list with orange dots that says, "Home, Life, Auto, Business." Next to that is a tall orange door, the same color as the roof with a rounded top.

All towns need an insurance agency.

This office has insurance carriers to handle farm, commercial and residential. That is important because That Town is very diverse.

Insurance is a very contentious subject locally in my town. With the fire last year our county has had so much loss of home and property that you can imagine we have had so many claims.

Some claims have gone better than others, and sadly many many claims are still unsettled.

Insurance costs have generally increased as well, affecting us all.

I’m sure it’s hard to be an insurance agent.
