Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan-Claire Mayfield. This is day two hundred and thirty of that project.

This quilt block shows a black square building with a large garage door shaped front. My friend Kris and her husband Dave are the owners of Grand County Automotive.

They are the ones I trust my car to. They have been down at the end of town making cars and their people happy for many years.

Kris fixes the tires at the shop (which I think is amazing!). She’s also a quilter, and I have her in my classes.

She and her mom make beautiful stuff. Besides that, they’re lots of fun.

Having a go-to for your vehicle is so important. Like Forrest Gump says, “One less thing to worry about.”

The seat is the same black fabric as the wheels, with black stitching.Block-A-Day 238 – Cathy’s Motorcycle This quilt block shows a wide orange building, almost as wide as the block itself. The roof is a triangle of very dark brown with two chimneys, individually outlined in stitching, poking out on either side. Below the triangular roof is a large orange piece of fabric making the main body of the building. On the front are the words in black pen, Block-A-Day 260 – Sunny Vista Recreation Center This quilt block shows a large dark gray building that takes up most of the block. The roof is the darkest gray and is square and flat. Underneath that is a very big sign that's yellow. It reads, Block-A-Day 276 – Scott’s Water Plant
