Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan-Claire Mayfield. This is day two hundred and eleven of that project.

This quilt block shows another corner of grass. This grass is much darker green but it does have the same bold and dashed yellow stitching on the upper border. On top of the dark green grass are stitched lines going up forming stalks of flowers. Each flower ends in a square or triangle-shaped button of varying colors (yellow, blue, gray). These buttons are very small.

Flowers have gone angular!

Marge Seedpod has been at it again! Marge is a local horticulturist that developed Shirley Hearts (heart-shaped flowers in various colors, exclusive to That Town) that I wrote about in block 154.

This time it’s triangle and square flowers!

I don’t know how she does it, but I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

Above that strip of grass is a pretty detailed wheelbarrow constructed out of very dark brown fabric with a yellow stitching outline. The top rim and inside of the wheelbarrow is a gray fabric. Inside the wheelbarrow, which we are seeing from the side, is dirt, brown fabric marked with pen, and a flower pot. Inside the flower pot are pen lines going up into buttons. The flower bulbs are tiny two-hole buttons of various colors.Block-A-Day 208 – The Wheelbarrow
