Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day one hundred and eleven of that project.

This is another corner quilt block. Against a gray background is a patch of grass in the bottom right, lighter than some of the other blocks before. There are little green sprouts, and on the sprouts are red two-holed flower shaped buttons.

Here is a nice little well tended flower garden on the corner.

This corner block marks where the school zone starts. I lived on the corner right across from our high school.

I can tell you in real life those corners do not have sweet little flower patches on them. Most of the time they are littered with cigarette butts and wrappers from every form of food that can be carried in the hand.

It is the last “meet up” spot before crossing into the school property. However, in my town that doesn’t exist and we have cute little patches of flowers.

Maybe there is an old guy that sits on a rocker right next to the corner and he tends the flowers and turns the hose on teenagers that want to congregate on this corner to smoke.

This image is giving me a smile.
