Block-A-Day 167 – The Carters
Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day one hundred and sixty-seven of that project.

Here are the Carters.
The Carters are driving past the airport in the family car. They are taking a family vacation.
Stan Carter really doesn’t like to fly, so much so that he drives for 14 hours in a car with his wife and two children, ages 4 and 6. They are in the back seat in booster seats.
There are the sounds of “Mooom, he’s touching me!”
“I am not; she’s in my space. Make her move over!”
“I am not! I’m way over here. It’s my Sparkle Pony that’s touching him.”
“Aaagh, I hate that Sparkle Pony; make her move it!”
“I have to go potty. Are we there yet?”
“Yeah, I’m hungry. Are we there yet?”
His long-suffering wife, Alice, looks wistfully at the airport as they pass; Alice likes to fly. She indulges for a moment in a daydream where she is sitting in first class ALONE.
She is startled out of it when she hears, “KNOCK IT OFF, YOU TWO.”
*sigh*
