Block-A-Day 108 – Trees In Jamaica
Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day one hundred and eight of that project.

Here are some really different trees in the park.
I think this is a fun addition to a park. Of course, they will grow in this park; this park is perfect.
A few years ago, I took a girl’s trip to Jamaica. While there, I went on a nature hike to learn about native plants.
When we came to some coconut palms, our guide climbed straight up the tree! That was impressive enough because there are no branches on a palm tree. He was barefoot and looked like he had done it every day of his life. (Which he probably had.)
When he got high enough, he got a coconut and came down. He whacked the end off that green coconut and gave it to me to drink the coconut water.
He said it would cleanse my heart and liver.
Honestly, I am not a coconut fan, but I drank it all up.
On vacation, I am Adventure Girl! (Okay, imagine me standing with my cape flying out behind me.)
