Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day one hundred and thirty-six of that project.

This quilt block shows a dark brown and slightly reddish truck without a bed. The truck's can extends to the rear of the truck and it has two windows light orange windows besides the windshield. The headlight is also the same color. Behind the truck is a gray tow structure attached to something that's located off the quilt block to the right (the truck is facing left.) There are two dark circles indicating wheels underneath with small off-white two-holed buttons in the centers indicating the axle. — Click To Enlarge

This snazzy truck belongs to Andy.

Andy loves his truck. He works in the city and rarely drives this big boy. He commutes to work in a Bolt electric car.

But Andy dreams of taking to the open road.

He has three weeks of vacation coming up this year. He’s been daydreaming of those three weeks for 11 months. Next week it will finally be time for Andy’s vacation.

Andy is in the driveway waxing his truck again, the second time this week. He’s singing “On The Road Again,” and his long-suffering wife Deb is watching him from the kitchen window and rolling her eyes for the tenth time in as many minutes.

He’s taking his adult son, Jack, with him. While they are gone, Jack’s wife, Susan, and Deb plan an antiquing trip down the coast with a stopover at a really nice spa.

Andy couldn’t be happier with her decision. Tomorrow we’ll find out more about Andy and Jack’s trip.

In the meantime, Andy, “wax on, wax off.”
