Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day one hundred and thirty-seven of that project.

This quilt block shows a maroon boat on a trailer against a light blue salmon-patterned background. The boat hull has light thread lines stitched through it, and is made out of a dark maroon piece of fabric,. The top of the boat is dark blue with a windshield opening that is light blue. It's sitting on a dark brown trailer with a single wheel that is a dark circle with a small off-white two-holed button in the middle indicating the axle.

Here it is, Andy’s baby.

The one thing Andy loves as much as his truck, his fishing boat.

Isn’t it a beaut?

That is the question Andy asks everyone within shouting distance this week. He and his son, Jack have packed and repacked everything at least 5 times.

They have upgraded the beer cooler twice. They are headed for Colorado.

They have heard there is great trout in the mountain lakes. This is the furthest they have ever taken the boat but with three weeks stretching out in front of them they are READY.

Andy’s just sure sleeping in the cool mountain air and eating fresh trout is going to add ten years to his life. They plan to camp out part of their trip and spend part in a motel in Grand Lake.

You know, take a shower when they can’t stand each other, and get a little local flavor. Check out the restaurants and bars. Enjoy seeing something besides concrete and asphalt all day.

Oh Boy! Just a few more days, if he can keep his wits about him.

He’s so EXCITED!
