Block-A-Day 110 – Detour!
Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day one hundred and ten of that project.

DETOUR!
We have all seen a sign like this and groaned inwardly or out loud. We are certain this will cause “confusion and delay.”
So we begin the journey of following signs to go around whatever requires a detour.
In the days before cell phones, we were often surprised when we encountered a sign like this. Sometimes we would hear on the radio if we were listening.
Now I’m sure there is an app you can get on your phone to tell you all about the diversion, why it’s there, how long it will take you, and any other tidbit you need to know.
It might even tell you your blood pressure after you lose your temper—the miracles of modern communication.
Remember in old movies and TV shows when there was a detour barricade and a high-speed chase? The bad guys and sometimes even the good guys would blow right through the barrier and become airborne, roll over into a pit, or run over someone coming out of a manhole?
I suppose that wouldn’t happen anymore; they would just ask Siri what to do.
