Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day fifty-four of that project.

This quilt block shows a yellow building with three lightbulbs on top. There are also two large lightbulbs to either side of the big gray door. There is a sign on the square flat purple roof that reads,

This block was fun, and what a funny building concept.

There are a lot of “outlandish” buildings coming up. They are so fun to do.

Lighting choices can be challenging. When I bought the shop, I wanted to give my bathroom here a facelift. I have a REALLY tiny bathroom.

There is no room to change your mind, let alone your clothes. 

However, we managed to make a charming bathroom. I painted and hung antique christening gowns and found a great mirror, BUT the really great feature is a tiny chandelier.

I love it! It’s way cute.

The building itself is in a sort of trapezoid shape and is light yellow. The roof is actually a painter's palette, the base color being brown. On the palette are blobs of other color, including red, black, yellow, blue and green shown by accompanying fabrics. Below the giant painter's palette are the words in cursive, "Neville Gallery" written in brown on the yellow building. Below the words is a dark teal rounded door with a gray door handle.Block-A-Day 251 – Neville Gallery This quilt block look like a giant gift box, complete with a big bow on top. The Block-A-Day 252 – Coulter House Gifts This quilt block shows an oddly shaped building. It's square but either side of it is a candy-striped barber pole with a gold ball on top. Along the top or roof is a white stripe that has scissors drawn on it and the word "Barber" in red. Underneath that is a grid window, really a patch of light cloth with squares drawn in brown in pen. It's an orange building otherwise, with a dark brown rounded door. This is all against a blue salmon-patterned background.Block-A-Day 277 – The Barber Shop
