Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day sixty-six of that project.

This quilt block shows the front of the Fabric Nook store, complete with the logo at the top of the building. It is a square all white building with no separate roof. There are two windows on either side of the center door with purple canopies. On the left is a silhouette of an old school sewing machine, and on the right is the Fabric Nook quilt block logo. There are two ornate benches in front of the store, as well as a planter that is decorated with polka dots. The door is orange with two sections for glass.

This block is us at the Fabric Nook! This is a pretty good likeness of us. We have polka dot planters out front that are super fun.

That’s how the business next door tells people how to find them. “Look for the polka dot planters.”

Last summer I had the front painted new colors. It was green and white before. Now it’s purple, white and orange.

We have tiles on the window sills that are done in a quilt pattern so they are shiny and we are sparkly.

I have been in business for 5 years now and I love what I do. I have terrific people that work with me and wonderful customers.

My little shop is my happy place.
