Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan-Claire Mayfield. This is day two hundred and fifty-two of that project.

My lifelong friend, Nona, had the cutest little gift shop a few years ago.

She found such unique things that were simply irresistible to me. She and her daughter made beautiful jewelry (some of my favorite pieces), and she found little (I mean tiny) cute little figures and characters.

I have one looking at me in my shop right now.

Now Nona makes felt and wooden gnomes for her friends, and I sell them in my shop. Everybody who sees them loves them.

I’m lucky to know her.

This quilt block shows a funny shaped building against a blue salmon-patterned background. The building itself is in a sort of trapezoid shape and is light yellow. This is all against a blue salmon-patterned background.Block-A-Day 277 – The Barber Shop This quilt block shows a clock repair shop. it's shaped like an old mantel clock but with a bigger base, which is the rest of the building. Theere is a big clock face pointing 12:20 at the top of the roof. The building is all brown, like a wooden mantel clock. There is a window on the left and in it in brown letters reads, Block-A-Day 279 – Timeless Clocks
