Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan-Claire Mayfield. This is day two hundred and thirty-seven of that project.

This quilt block shows the side view of a purple delivery truck. The wheels have gray fabric hubcaps with a pen circle inside. There's a black stripe on the side of the truck, and above that in pen a line ending in a splat with the words, "Fast Delivery" above it. Then, on the back big part of the truck is a yellow sign that says, "Express." The windshield is on the front upper part of the truck and is a slight orange tint. The headlight is a small yellow piece of fabric, and the bumpers are pieces of gray fabric with white pen on them. This is all against a blue salmon-patterned background.

This is a speedy delivery truck. It says so right on the side.

Actually, here in the mountains the delivery people are our lifeline. I get deliveries several times a week at the store that keep us supplied with what we need.

When my kids were little they thought Santa Claus looked like the UPS man.

While making this square I realized how dependent I am on delivery people- UPS, FedEx and the USPS.

I shop for everything possible locally and if I can’t get it here I have to have it brought in.

I am so grateful for all those people!
