Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day twenty-five of that project.

This quilt block shows a patch of grass in the bottom right with a white bench and two trees, one vertical and one horizontal. The patch of grass overlaps the corner on the botom and right sides.

This is the last block in the second round of That Town and Country Quilt. The next round is in the suburbs. So we’ll see who lives in our little town.

This is another little green space with a substantial-looking park bench and a couple of trees. I can see two old friends, retired, meeting here every day around 11:00 to sit on this bench and play checkers or chess together.

They throw crumbs to the pigeons from the bag of “day old” one of them picked up from the bakery on the way. Perhaps they served together in the Navy and talk about old war stories, or taught together and have endless tales of quirky students.

See you tomorrow in the suburbs.
