Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day forty-three of that project.

I’m not sure why two corner blocks are so close together because they surely won’t be in the quilt. Anyway, I thought it would be fun to make this an apple tree.

Seeing the apples grow would be fun, and picking them even better. My oldest son had an apple tree in his backyard at their last house.

It was so interesting to me because several different varieties of apples had been grafted onto this one tree.

I didn’t know someone could do that. It produced quite a lot of apples. I believe they made applesauce out of them.
