This quilt block shows a very large tree with a tree house inside the greenery. On the side of the brown trunk is a squirrel and a bunch of steps for climbing the tree. The greenery is an amorphous green fabric with green stitching around it. In that amorphous shape is a yellow tent-like shape with various items inside and lights along the edges. The tent is the tree house. This is all against a darker blue background.

Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day one hundred and eighty-eight of that project.

A treehouse!

This is a massive tree. Big enough to have a treehouse.

This treehouse is made with a platform, a center pole, and a tent-like cover. Little steps have been nailed up the trunk into the tree to get there.

I mentioned the movie The Sandlot in a previous block, and it’s on my mind again. My favorite treehouse is in that movie.

This one is equipped with an ice chest, a sleeping bag, a string of Christmas lights for illumination, a flashlight, comic books, and snacks in a squirrel-proof box.

A citronella candle will keep the bugs away.
