In my previous three posts, I outlined that I am creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. Today is day four of that project!

This quilt block shows four condo and apartment like buildings next to each other under a dark, near black night sky.

These are apartments or condos with perhaps a first-floor office or reception. They look pretty dreary in the pre-dawn hours while everyone is still asleep.

You will see that the pieces are reversed for tracing on a paper-backed fusible. My favorite fusible of this kind is Soft Fuse Premium. I like it because,

  1. It’s easy to see through for tracing. I use a mechanical pencil, which shows up well and erases nicely.
  2. The paper easily releases when you are ready to fuse the fabrics.
  3. It stays soft, even if there is more than one layer.
  4. Adhesion is good.

See you tomorrow.
