Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day twenty of that project.

I imagine this little pocket park has beautifully sculpted flower beds like the ones in the nearby town of Winter Park. Their flowers are so beautiful every summer.

I’m always so impressed by their displays. They plant them in spaces made on the sidewalks and medians on the highway—a fantastic variety for high-altitude gardening and impeccably maintained.

That’s what I imagine this little park has to offer.

The columns are all in a circle supporting the dome, and below and above the columns is additional stone with decoration or etchings into the stone. The stone itself is a light yellow. The whole thing is very classically Greek like.Block-A-Day 101 – The Park Rotunda This quilt block shows a smooth patch of grass in a medium dark green fabric at the bottom, and a gray background. On the patch of grass are tall palm trees with brown-orange trunks and even darker green palm leaves splaying out from the tops. There are three trees in all.Block-A-Day 108 – Trees In Jamaica
