Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day one hundred and fifty-one of that project.

This block shows two green poplar trees, tall with narrow branches, rising up from the ground to the left. Their trunks are an orange rust brown, while the crown from bottom to top is a dark green. To the right is a two-slat bright orange fence with four fence posts standing up to start it. This is all set against a light-blue salmon-colored background.

The approach to the train depot is well cared for and lovely.

Julie treats the area around the depot like her own yard and garden. She pulls weeds, trims trees, and paints the fences.

These two poplar trees make an excellent addition to the beginning of the fence. They grew quickly and went from saplings to big trees in just a few years.

After Thanksgiving, the trees and fences are decorated with Christmas lights.

Everyone smiles as “Julie’s Baby” pulls into the depot.

Even if you are a visitor, it makes you feel like you are coming home.

This is all against a blue salmon-patterned background.Block-A-Day 210 – Evie Spangler’s Trees This quilt block shows five very tall pointy and skinny trees in a row against a blue salmon-patterned background. Each tree has a short little trunk at the bottom that is brown fabric, and then a long skinny and pointy foliage going up.
