Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day one hundred and forty of that project.

This quilt block shows a large double decker bus that's a dark off-green. The windows are a light yellow. There are four across the top and three on the bottom, interrupted by the gray door that opens in the middle. A steering wheel is visible through the lower cab window. I always thought I wouldn’t own a car if I lived in a city.

As I’ve said several times, I’m not the best driver, and I like taking buses.

I’ve gone to Denver a few times and used the bus system to get around downtown, and it made me feel very independent. Also, I’ve taken the light rail system from the airport and like that too.

Of course, I’ve never ridden on a double-decker, but I’d like to, I think.

I like the color of this bus, although I can’t imagine anywhere except That Town having one.

It’s fun that the town planner is so progressive.
