Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day one hundred and sixteen of that project.

In this quilt block we have another light orange building bearing the words,

Freshmen and sophomores are in this building.

Holy cow, that was a long time ago for me.

It was so scary and exciting at the same time. High school was the big league.

Didn’t you become COOL automatically when you got there?

Of course not.

You were still awkward and sometimes goofy looking. Acne was rampant because they didn’t have the stuff there is now back in my day.

I had cystic acne, and my mom once read that putting the skin on the inside of an eggshell on the blemish would help shrink it, so I tried that too.

We worried about what to wear and how to do our hair and make-up.

Oh yeah, and there is that studying thing, too.

After you got to school, the sophomores acted like they owned you.

It was a rough time for all.
