Block-A-Day 117 – Daydreaming And Budding Romance
Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day one hundred and seventeen of that project.

This is a nice little break between the high school and middle school. A shady area with tables and benches so the occasional class can be held in the open air.
This area is for middle schoolers only. The staff has found that the trees provide wonderful shade when it’s hot, but they also manage to present opportunities to hide behind and gossip or sneak a kiss.
They are allowed music but not cell phones while they are out there. Studying is what’s supposed to be happening.
Daydreaming is what is mostly happening. Romances are budding, and hand-holding is thrilling.
You are doodling in your notebook while you watch the clouds and hear the birds in the trees.
In the autumn, when the leaves fall, students do the raking and bagging of leaves. They are then carried over to the high school experimental garden compost area.
There is nothing like sunshine on your upturned face.
That, frankly, always makes me sleepy, so I was probably dozing when I was supposed to be studying.
