Block-A-Day 295 – A Collective Breath
Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan-Claire Mayfield. This is day two hundred and ninety-five of that project.

The country held its collective breath, and the fire continued to burn.
Then a miracle happened, the weather got colder, the wind changed, and it snowed. My son refers to it as the day Hell Froze Over.
Everyone took a deep breath and saw what was left.
This block is taken from a picture my friend Jenny took. She commented that it looked like a barcode. It was bleak.
However, when spring came, where snow covered the forest floor came to life. In many places, green shoots came up and wildflowers.
When the aspen turned yellow in the fall, so did parts of the forest floor.
Life springs eternal.
