Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day seventy-three of that project.

This quilt block shows a corner block with a patch of grass in the lower right corner. Poking out of the grass and towards the center of the block are several very detailed flowers of various kinds and colors. The detail of each flower bloom stands out in this block; the blooms themselves being medium sized flower pattern buttons.

Here is another little park block.

The unique feature of this block is the flower sculptures. The blooms are huge! Beautiful enameled copper welded by a local artist.

I think it would be great fun to see something like this in person.

Looking at the scale of the buildings, I estimate these sculptures are over 6 feet tall and the flowers 3-4 feet across.

A bit of whimsy.

This quilt block shows a smooth patch of grass at the bottom denoted by a green cut of fabric. On the green fabric are threads shooting up with yellow buttons at their end indicating flowers. The buttons are round and two-holed. In the middle of it all is a rust orange light brown sundial stand, upon which sits a sundial. This is against a blue salmon-patterned background fabric.Block-A-Day 189 – The Garden Gate This quilt block shows an outhouse against a blue salmon-patterned background. The outhouse is a dark brown with white stitching on it to indicate the door and slats. The roof is almost black and is a thin triangular shape. On the front of the door is a small two-holed yellow button for the door handle. At the top of the outhouse is a yellow crescent moon.Block-A-Day 205 – The Garden Outhouse This quilt block shows a funny shaped building against a blue salmon-patterned background. The building itself is in a sort of trapezoid shape and is light yellow. The roof is actually a painter's palette, the base color being brown. On the palette are blobs of other color, including red, black, yellow, blue and green shown by accompanying fabrics. Below the giant painter's palette are the words in cursive, "Neville Gallery" written in brown on the yellow building.
