Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. Today is day five of that project, and features another corner block.

This quilt block features both horizontal and vertical house structures turning around the bottom right corner. In the bottom right corner is a park bench.
Here’s another corner block.

In the first round, every other block is a corner, so I think of this first round as the town square. These dark buildings show nothing of the secrets within.

I imagine the domed-shaped tops are made of glass and when the sun shines on them light streams in, perhaps giving life to a top floor atrium.  I think an insurance company or a suite of attorney offices are here.  Maybe a Private Detective has his business in the brown building.

This little corner plot of grass has a rather primitive park bench embroidered on it.  Maybe a business man or woman has their lunch here or a grandfather and his grandchild sit here and feed popcorn to the inevitable pidgins.

I think I wouldn’t mind sitting there in the sun with a sweater on myself.
