Block-A-Day 38 – Angie, Lena, and Trevor
Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day thirty-eight of that project.

Angie lives here with her twelve-year-old daughter, Lena. She’s a single mom and has only been in this neighborhood for a few months. Angie is a nurse and teaches piano lessons for extra money.
They moved from an apartment in a city, so when she rented this house and saw it had a little yard and an honest-to-goodness tree, she was overjoyed. Lena’s room looks out into the tree, and she daydreams when she’s supposed to be doing her homework.
She can hear her mom and a young pupil downstairs practicing “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” for the millionth time. As she tries to see the baby birds in a nest she’s been watching, she thinks about Trevor.
Trevor is the dreamy boy in her science class that is such a hunk! Lena spends a great deal of time thinking about Trevor. She’s trying to work up to saying something clever so he’ll notice her. But, so far, she’s only gotten to smiling and nodding.
She’s certain he doesn’t know she’s alive.
