Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan-Claire Mayfield. This is day two hundred and sixteen of that project.

This quilt block shows a water tank. The tank itself is a gray rectangle with a water spigot coming out. However, what stands out is all the vines and greenery that are growing over the tank, outlined in yellow stitching and red pen with green pieces of fabric for the leaves. The spigot is a piece of rough gray fabric outlined with black. The tank is facing to the right against a blue salmon-patterned background.

Here is a garden water tank.

It has a spigot so a hose can be attached to water out into the garden.

It sits higher than the rest of the garden area, so gravity helps the water to run. The top is open, so rainwater collects, and grey water can be added.

If you don’t know, grey water is “used” water. For example, water that vegetables are washed in gets added.

It’s a green way to do things.

The bales of hay are actually round, and we are looking at them from the side. Each bale is a green piece of fabric with a bright yellow leaf-like stitched spiral coming out from the center quite dramatically. They are placed in a pyramid pile with three rolls at the bottom.Block-A-Day 299 – The Round Bales This quilt block is a corner block. it has a dark green patch of grass in the bottom left corner. On that patch of grass is a basket. The basket is a brown fabric with a lot of pen marks on it in a hatched design to make it look like a weaved basket. Inside the basket are several vegetables. There are carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, and a red pepper each with corresponding colored fabric. Coming out from the center of the basket is a stick that's holding up a detailed sign that has written in black, "Harvest Sale."Block-A-Day 330 – Thanksgiving Basket
