Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day one hundred and thirty-seven of that project.

Here it is, Andy’s baby.

The one thing Andy loves as much as his truck? His fishing boat.

Isn’t it a beaut’?

That is the question Andy asks everyone within shouting distance this week. He and his son, Jack, have packed and repacked everything at least five times.

They have upgraded the beer cooler twice. They are headed for Colorado.

They have heard there is excellent trout in the mountain lakes. This is the furthest they have ever taken the boat, but with three weeks stretching out in front of them, they are READY.

Andy’s just sure sleeping in the cool mountain air and eating fresh trout will add ten years to his life. They plan to camp out for part of their trip and spend part in a motel in Grand Lake.

You know, take a shower when they can’t stand each other and get a little local flavor. Check out the restaurants and bars. Enjoy seeing something besides concrete and asphalt all day.

Oh Boy! It’s just a few more days if he can keep his wits about him.

On the side of the truck under the window are the words, "Cones Sundaes Shakes Malts - non-dairy too!" The top of the truck has a white sign that reads, "Mary's Ice Cream - Yum."
