Block-A-Day 82 – Road Work Ahead
Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day eighty-two of that project.

I am on a new round with my quilt. The background on the next 39 squares is a Hoffman fabric called Swordfish. Here is the entire quilt so far, which is now 37 1/2” sq.

It looks like we will see some road construction this round. Here is a ROAD WORK AHEAD sign.
When we see this sign, it’s meant to warn us as to what is coming up. At this point, we should become more aware and observant. We must be on the lookout for dangerous situations and ready to modify our responses accordingly.
As I was preparing this block, I thought about how many times I have had signals or warnings about situations in my life that I ignored.
I find myself not ready for a situation where I need to be more flexible, forgiving, or patient. In hindsight, I can see where the warning signs were and wish I had heeded them.
I’m going to try to pay more attention to the “road signs.”
