Monarchs can live 8 months. In butterfly that is a really long time. Another amazing thing about them is that they migrate 2500 miles! I thought it was astounding when I learned hummingbirds migrated 500 miles, these butterflies go 5 times that far!
Something about growing things lifts people’s spirits, gives us a sense of renewal. I think it’s the earth reaching out and touching us.

This corner block marks where the school zone starts. I lived on the corner right across from our high school. I can tell you in real life those corners do not have sweet little flower patches on them.
