Block-A-Day 71 – Cozy Afternoon Books
Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day seventy-one of that project.

If you love to read, is there anything better than a good book in front of a cozy fire, a snuggly blanket, and your feet up? That’s what the owner of this bookstore thought when she decided on the name Cozy Afternoon Books.
I love to read. I have always been an avid reader. A perfect vacation for me is on the beach with 4 or 5 books, a sunhat, and a cocktail. I read, wade in the water, and doze.
Repeat.
Ahhhh.
A few years ago, my children bought me a Kindle. My thumbs were starting to ache to hold the books open (sewist’s thumb). I thought it was very thoughtful but wondered how much I’d use it. Oh my goodness, I am on the fourth one, having worn out the first three.
Anytime I am reading non-fiction, I use it (every day). Of course, I still appreciate books and read out of them every day to the grandchildren.
Right now, we are reading Tom Sawyer.
