Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day fifty-eight of that project.

This quilt block shows a building shaped like a handbag. It is brown with an orange flap roof, a gray clasp and a gray handle. In the display window on the left of the building is a blue dres, and to the right of that a red door. There is a sign on the front that reads, "Frocks."

This lovely little dress shop is owned by the same person that owns the flower shop in tomorrow’s block. It’s called Frocks and Flowers.

I especially like the little blue dress in the window. Of course, making it look like a purse is a cute touch too.

The woman who owns the real Frocks and Flowers name is Dana. The shop is in Stromsburg, Nebraska. It’s a sweet little shop with great clothes.

Dana and I have been best friends since we were 4 years old. We went to kindergarten together. It’s the kind of friendship where we can pick up a conversation where we left off months before. We are as close as sisters.

The kind of friend that will tell you the truth when you ask “Does my butt look fat in these pants?”
