Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day fifty-nine of that project.

This is the flower half of Frocks and Flowers. In the real world both halves are in the same building. A really cool historical building called The Anderson Building.
When Dana’s husband was a little boy he would walk by the building every day and think that someday he would own it and now he does!
I made the leaves and stems for these flowers by using variegated thread and a close zigzag stitch. I kept my hand on the width adjustment and made it narrower as I went up the leaf.
The flowers were made by sewing beads on top of the leaves.
I marked where the pots would be and sewed the leaves before ironing the pots down.
