This quilt block shows an orange tent. It's a simple set up tent with two poles holding up a center rail that a blanket is laid over. There are brown steel toed red wings drawn in pen to the right side of the entrance of the tent. There's also a fishing pole above them drawn in. At the entrance of the tent is a camouflage sleeping bag rolled up (with pen markings for the camouflage). Next to the that is a red tacklebox that is drawn in with red pen. And finally to the left next to the orange tent is drawn in a lantern. This is all against a blue salmon-patterned background.

Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan-Claire Mayfield. This is day two hundred and sixty-eight of that project.

Camping is fun!

It looks like Rob is ready to do a little hiking and fishing on his camping trip.

Did you ever pitch a tent like this in the backyard? A simple little shelter to keep Rob dry.

He has his camo sleeping bag, a tackle box, and his fishing pole. He also has his trusty lantern and sturdy hiking boots.

These boots remind me of the ones my husband wore every day. He always wore steel-toe Red Wings. The only time I ever saw him in anything else was when we were on vacation at the beach.

He was barefoot then.

Everyone who knew him well used to kid him about his “Lil’ Abner” boots.
