Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan-Claire Mayfield. This is day two hundred and six of that project.

This quilt block shows a small young round tree, a sign and a purple hatted garden gnome all sitting next to each other. Amy has a tiny garden spot.

She’s really proud of it, though, and takes super good care of it.

To make it unique for her, she adopted Clarence, the garden gnome, to welcome people to her little space. She fell in love with him on the spot when she saw him in the garden center.

She actually bought these three pieces at the same time.

The tree was in an ugly black plastic pot, and the sign was blank. So Amy got right to work painting her name on the sign and putting the little tree in a pretty pot.

It looks like terra cotta but is a suitable imitation plastic, so it isn’t so heavy.

She put them together and decided Clarence could still use a little something. Pretty soon, he was sporting flowers all over him.

Amy was happy with what she saw.

They appear as if they are floating around the aspen tree trunk, and that they are turning for autumn.Block-A-Day 286 – A Pink “Quakie” This quilt block shows a set of sacks of fertilizer with a sign against a light blue background. The sign has a black fabric post and a tan fabric signage that reads, "Pony Poo $5.00". On each brown sack there is a label that reads, "Pony Poo" in black pen. Each sack, and the sign and post are outlined by a bright yellow stitching.Block-A-Day 350 – The Pony Poo
