Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day one hundred and twenty-nine of that project.

This quilt block shows a square building with a sign on top. The sign is light yellow and has the word "AZTECA" on the top in red. Under it, it says, "Family Restaurant." Under the sign is a deep red with a round gold seal on it, evoking ancient Aztec culture. On the main building there is a dark rounded door in the center and two square light yellow windows on each side. The building itself is a colorful fabric with scattered small yellow polka dots on a light blue background.

Right next door to my shop is a great little Mexican restaurant.

The people who run it are really nice and the food is delicious. We often order tacos to go for lunch. They also make outstanding Margaritas.

My building and theirs is actually attached in one area. Our buildings are two of the original buildings in Granby.

One of the storage rooms at the Fabric Nook has a concrete floor. That is the spot where we are attached. A long time ago it was the ice room for both establishments.

When I was little my Dad took me to what is now AZTECA.

Back then it was called Ricci’s Columbine Cafe. He liked to have coffee and visit with Ricci.

At that time there was a lunch counter all along one side and there were big game trophy mounts on all the walls.

I’m very happy it is still a restaurant serving great food.
