Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day sixty-one of that project.

Fun Time Toys is a great little toy store.

Geared toward the younger set, it is a little unusual as this is an electronic free store. She designed the store for those kids whose parents and grandparents worry about too much screen time. Imagination runs the toys here.

They carry toys that encourage “making up your own story.” Handmade kitchens for aspiring chefs. Hobby horses for the little ones who watch westerns with their grandpas. Duplo blocks abound, and of course, Legos too. There are tops and kites, as well as trains and easels for the young engineer and artists. Even costumes that are made from thrift store treasures by the store owner. Little girls especially like the “fancy hats.”

She doesn’t forget little boys either: top, pirate, cowboy, and detective hats are hanging up as well.

She often gets a smile when she looks over, and a sweet little girl in a ballerina dress is wearing a pirate hat. Her brother is beside her, admiring himself in the mirror with a pink tea party hat on.

They both look wonderful.
