Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day ninety-one of that project.

This quilt block shows a rectangular building on a gray background. The building has a black top, and a red exterior, like brick. There is a yellow sign across the top with red letters spelling out, "Emergency." Below the sign are two rows of illuminated windows, and below that two large gray double-doors with big handles.

An emergency room can be a scary place.

We have been very fortunate with our local emergency room. I had to go to the emergency room 3 years ago. I had both my eardrums ruptured with infection and the inflammation in one ear was really bad. I had vertigo and couldn’t turn my head at all without vomiting.

I was scared and it hurt a lot.

Once I got to the emergency room I saw a nurse that I had known since she was a girl. I was immediately comforted that she was taking care of me.

They gave me drugs and fixed me up so I could go home.

I was so grateful for the emergency room just 10 minutes away.
