Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day forty-seven of that project.

This quilt block shows a tall skinny building with a triangular roof. It has two windows, the top being a triangle as well. Attached to the left of it is a covered car port where a red car is parked.

Carol was so happy that this house was available for rent. She had just moved out of her parents’ house for the first time. She saved and saved through college and a year after to be ready to be on her own.

She bought her little red car and named it Rosie. So she and Rosie went looking for a place to live. This little gem was perfect for them. Carol loved the carport and she’s sure Rosie loves it too.

The little house is perfect for her.

Not too far from work, it’s just the right size with a sewing room! She’s busy decorating and painting to make it just so. Sewing curtains now, and thinking of a slipcover for a chair in the living room.

When the weather turns cooler she’ll plant tulips in red and yellow all along the side of the house. Carol bounces out of her house every morning, pats Rosie on the hood, and starts off.

Every day is the best day of Carol’s life. Today Carol is my attitude hero.
