Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day seventy-four of that project.

A sweet little knitting shop filled with beautiful rich colors. Soft natural yarns.

Everywhere you look, another bin or basket is filled with skeins of beautiful fibers and Notions. Towards the back is a sitting area around a small antique potbellied stove with overstuffed chairs and small tables to sit, knit, and have a cup of something hot. The owner is a plump, pretty, and funny woman named Polly.

She has freshly baked cookies every day for her knitters. There is always someone knitting a baby blanket on any given day.

Crocheters are welcome, too, of course. The regulars think of this place as “comfort on a needle.”

I would love to spend an afternoon there.
