Block-A-Day 62 – Coochie Coo
Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day sixty-two of that project.

It’s funny that a diaper pin is an icon in this little store.
How many people under the age of 40 have seen a diaper pin in reality?
I used them to diaper my sons. I washed and folded four dozen diapers every day. I’d fold two together; they were made of double gauze, white, of course. Now I sell double gauze in the shop with fun prints, and no one is making diapers.
When my son, who farms, told me 11 years ago they would use cloth diapers, I said, “Are you sure?” Thinking how much work it was and knowing how super busy they were.
My daughter-in-law told me they were different now. She said no diaper pins; they have snaps and no folding. I was skeptical. But four kids later, everybody was out of diapers, and only a few were worn out before the end.
This little shop has a great selection of new precious garments, and a big part of the space is devoted to gently used clothing. I thought this was a great idea because the little darlings are in them for such a short time.
