Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan Claire. This is day fifty-nine of that project.

This is the flower half of Frocks and Flowers. In the real world, both halves are in the same building—a really cool historical building called The Anderson Building.

When Dana’s husband was a little boy, he would walk by the building every day and think that someday he would own it, and now he does!

I made the leaves and stems for these flowers using variegated thread and a close zigzag stitch. I kept my hand on the width adjustment and made it narrower as I went up the leaf.

The flowers were made by sewing beads on top of the leaves.

I marked where the pots would be and sewed the leaves before ironing the pots down.
