Dr. Sue is the presiding vet now but for many years Dr. Larry Peterson was there to take care of whatever animal problem that I had. He did everything. He mercifully and sympathetically ended the lives of several beloved 4 legged friends. He also came to the farm to help with a variety of oddball things my livestock got into.

Our Chamber of Commerce / information center in our town has a cool logo and I wanted to capture that on my building. The Chamber works hard to bring people to Granby and helps business on main street.

This quilt block shows a tall two story house. On either side of the house are two large plants with ferns coming out of them. The ferns are penned in green strokes, while the pots are duotone polka-dot fabrics. The house itself is a dark tan color with a very dark brown door on the left. To the right of the door is a quilt block on display in a frame, and to the right of that is a yellow window with a hatch pattern over it in gray. Above these items is writing in script that says,

She was surprised by how much she really loved quilting and how creative she was. Maggie attended lots of quilting retreats with her friends. It was at one of those retreats that it occurred to her that this might be what she should do with her house.

This quilt block shows a square building that is shaped like a doghouse. The door is a small door on the front center, but it's black to match the black of the large faux door painted on the front, as if Clifford the Big Red Dog lived there. On the orange roof is a yellow sign that reads,

The thing I liked best was that it was the height where I didn’t have to bend over and there was hot running water. I would go when she was starting to blow her coat and it helped so much.

This quilt block shows an ice cream truck. The truck is very yellow with lots of writing on it. We are looking at it from the side. There are two big black wheels with two large colored two-holed buttons for the axles. One button is pink and one is orange. The truck is tall, and has a side window where orders can be placed. The windows is a lighter yellow and has writing on it with all the flavors. Next to the window are decals of ice cream cones. On the side of the truck under the window are the words, "Cones Sundaes Shakes Malts - non-dairy too!" The top of the truck has a white sign that reads, "Mary's Ice Cream - Yum." There are little notes in the air in the upper right part of the truck to show that it's making music.

Mary’s parents put their spare change in a jar in the kitchen just for the ice cream truck. She would climb up on the step stool and put her fist into the jar and count out the amount she’d need for 2 small cones.
