This quilt block shows a patch of grass at the bottom indicated by a dark green fabric cut with a jagged edge pointing up. The grass is outlined with a yellow stitching. To the left is a small birdbath. It's a simple tan cone with a small bowl at the top to make the bath. On top of the bowl, and about half as big as it, is a red bird. It is made up of duotone polka dotted red fabric. There is a similar bird mid-flight coming to rest on the other side of the birdbath. This is all against a blue salmon-patterned background.

The scale is appropriate and fits in nicely. It also attracts the smaller birds, even hummingbirds. The young man who lives here keeps it super clean and consequently the birds flock here.

This quilt block shows two patches of grass, one big one on the bottom left and a small one on the bottom right. The grass patches are jagged cut green fabric outlined in yellow stithing. Coming out of the left patch of grass is a flower spike, a column of bulbs, that looks a bit like Gladiolus. The bulbs are colored pink and red (red with pen and pink fabric). Next to the spike of bulbs is a bunny viewed from the back. The bunny is tan, has a lighter tail, and two ears, one floppy.

They are not good pets for children, their spines aren’t as flexible as cats and that makes them harder to pick up properly. But for an adult, a rabbit makes a really nice pet. It frightens them to be picked up but they love to sit on your lap and be petted.

This quilt block shows a tan fence with slats that have significant gaps between them. The slats are rounded at the end. In between the slats and above them are a row of beautiful flowers. The greenery for the flowers is done with intricate stitching, with even the leaves as stitches. The flowers are a combination of red fabric with medium sized two-hole buttons in the center, and red and white pen marking coming out from the center to show beautiful flower petals. This is all against a blue salmon-patterned background.

Besides offering a showy front this fence and tall flowers provides a little shade for some herbs that need it. At the back of the plot there is a little greenhouse for the tender hearted herbs that need a little extra TLC.

This quilt block shows a bird feeder hanging from a post against a blue background. The post is brown with a part jutting out that the feeder is hanging from. The post has a green vine made of green fabric and green stitching growing around and up the post. There is a yellow bird in the upper right flying. The feeder itself is red, like a hummingbird feeder, with polka dot pattern on it of another shade of red.

I recently bought a bird feeder for the Farmhands. It looks a little like the one on our block today. Farmhand 3 was particularly excited about it.

This quilt block depicts a deep red airplane as seen in the sky from an angle above. The whole airplane is a deep maroon red, with yellow stitching around the outlines. There is a windshield which is the same yellow color with red stitching on its outline. The plane has one wing above the hull, and one propeller blade on the end of its nose. On the side of the plane in yellow is the word, "Rhonda." This is all against a blue salmon-patterned background.

This block also makes me think of my friend Rhonda Buss. I know she flies a much fancier plane than this one. I named my little plane after her. Rhonda is an amazing seamstress. She sews beautiful clothes. She has a challenge right now to wear an outfit every day that she has sewn.

This quilt block shows a railroad crossing signal and building against a light blue salmon-patterned background. The building next to the signal is tall and orange with a small red door. The signal itself is bright yellow with a large red two-holed button at the end of it indicating the light at the signal.

I’m sure many of you have given blood, I know I have. I have never had a transfusion myself but both of my parents used a lot of blood before they passed away. I kind of think of it as a debt.

This quilt block shows an orange and red scooter like vehicle. It is shaped somewhat like a cross between a vespa and a motorcycle. This vehicle actually has three wheels however, with the bottom of the third wheel visible under the middle. The seat is red, and tehre are two handlebars. It is facing left, with two big dark tires whose axles are indicated by two white two-hole buttons.

I think I have scooter envy. I have never ridden on a scooter but I think it would be fun. We are assuming this is an electric scooter. I’ve been reading about electric scooters online and this is what I’ve found out.

This quilt block shows a red little buggy convertible car with the roof off against a light blue background. The car itself is from a side view, with two dark wheels whose hubcaps are represented by two small white two-holed buttons. The red car only has one set of doors and no back seat.
